We don’t make safety, we make safety better.

TEKMARINE Mooring bollards are designed using FEA analysis. Material & shapes are optimized for the best performance and usage. TEKMARINE Bollards are available in a wide range of shapes, load capacity, and materials, as every port’s geographical, environmental and operational requirements are unique and thus no single combination can satisfy all customers.

TEKMARINE offers Single Bitt, Double Bitt, TEE-Head, Stag Horn Head, K-Head, and many of the Legacy type bollards to satisfy every customer preference whether it may be the type, size or the material.

The bollard type and material requested by customer is often influenced by what has been historically used or known best by the customer or more widely seen in the region. For example Single and Double Bitt bollards are widely used within the Americas while TEE and Stag Horn Head are more popular in other parts of the world.

TEKMARINE highly recommends that a bollard is chosen by customer after an active consulting with qualified engineering company who may carry out detailed mooring analysis to ensure that a particular bollard model, along with its particular shape, load rating, and anchorage is well suited to the detailed design of the berth and meets the operational requirement of the user. This choice must be respected to ensure the safe usage of the product.

Each type of bollard shape has its own advantages. Some offers benefit of handling higher line load angles than others, while others can offer ability of securing more than one lines. Similarly various popular materials such as cast steel, ductile iron, gray cast iron etc has its own advantages and pitfalls and should be used keeping in view local operational and environmental condition.

Please consult TEKMARINE to see how we can bring value to your projects by advising the best choice of type, size, and material for bollard and its anchor system.
